Duties & Responsibilities
• Act as Data Lead and Chairperson for the weekly Data Governance Board (DGB), in coordination with the ACPV main contractor.
• Plan, coordinate and chair DGB meetings, ensuring agendas, participants and supporting materials are confirmed in advance.
• Ensure meetings result in clear decisions, actions and assigned responsibilities.
• Prepare complete and mature weekly submission packages for DGB consideration, ensuring all required documentation, recommendations and supporting evidence are accurate and complete.
• Coordinate with the DGB Secretariat to confirm the readiness and completeness of submitted packages.
• Accurately document weekly DGB decisions, actions, owners and deadlines.
• Prepare, review and distribute meeting minutes to relevant stakeholders, maintaining clear and traceable records within the approved repository.
• Track and report weekly on data governance KPIs and data-quality indicators.
• Identify performance gaps, trends and root causes, and propose and monitor corrective and continuous-improvement actions.
• Monitor and report on the collection of mandatory data governance artefacts in accordance with the DGB Terms of Reference (TOR) and Data Source On-Boarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Review artefacts for completeness, accuracy and currency, identifying and reporting missing, incomplete or outdated documentation.
• Supervise and coordinate the Data Source On-Boarding Working Group (DOWG), ensuring activities are aligned with DGB priorities.
• Ensure decision and recommendation packages are complete and ready for DGB review, escalating risks, issues and delays in a timely manner.
• Provide monthly reporting on the business value generated from ACPV data.
• Assess data-driven knowledge, insights and outputs against defined business objectives, documenting business benefits, use cases and value gaps.
• Provide recommendations to improve data utilisation and business outcomes.
Requirements
• Currently active NATO SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, information management or business intelligence.
• Experience chairing governance boards, working groups or formal decision-making meetings.
• Experience reviewing governance submissions and assessing their completeness, maturity and readiness for decision-making.
• Experience documenting decisions, actions, risks and meeting proceedings.
• Experience defining, tracking and reporting data governance KPIs and data-quality indicators.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, data ownership, data stewardship, metadata and data-source onboarding.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, contractors and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively at both technical and business levels.
• Excellent meeting management and reporting skills.
Desirable
• Certification in data management, data governance, project management, ITIL or business analysis.
• Experience with data catalogues, BI tools, data-quality platforms or document-management systems.
• Experience working within an international, governmental, defence, security or regulated environment.
• Knowledge of data-management frameworks.
• Experience in configuration management, validation, cybersecurity or technical data environments.
• Previous experience working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian personnel.
• Knowledge of NATO organisation, internal structures and associated relationships.
